Letter from Jonathan

To my Naples Church of Christ Family,

I’m writing to let you know about some big changes that are coming for myself, my family and for our church. Last Wednesday, I accepted an offer to be the new 6th-grade math teacher at Paul Pewitt Junior High. This means that in a few weeks, I will be stepping down from my position as your minister.

I realize that this decision may come as a shock to some, but it is not one that I have made lightly. I have spent the past few months wrestling in prayer over this, precisely because I have loved my time serving as your minister! But, just as I felt when God called me to step into my current role, I feel that he is now calling me to minister in the classroom.

Thank you all so much for the love and support you have given to me and my family over the years. I feel as though I have received way more than I’ve given. And please understand that we in no way plan to leave the church. Naples Church of Christ is still my church home. I’m simply going to be serving in a different way until God tells me otherwise.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in contact with me. As always, I covet your prayers and I will surely be praying for you all.

May the Lord bless and keep you,
Jonathan
